Dyeing Technology

Dyeing is the process of importing color to a textile material in loose fibre, yarn, cloth or garment form by treatment with a dye.

DYE can generally be described as a colored substance that has an affinity to the substrate to which it is being applied. The dye is generally applied in an aqueous solution, and may require a mordant to improve the fastness of the dye on the fiber.

Types of Dyeing:
  • Direct Dye
  • Yarn Dyeing
  • Organic dyeing
  • Basic Dye
  • Reactive Dyes (Hot & Cold)
  • Remazol Dye
  • HTHP (High Temperature High Pressure) disperse Dyes
  • Sulfur Dyes
  • Azoic Dyes
  • Acid Dyes
  • Vat Dyes

Direct, Sulfur & Azoic Dyes are not using for export garments. It is mostly used only for domestic Garments. Generally for Exports we are using Reactive dyes. this dyeing will be done by dyeing in a temperature or 70-80 degree temperature.

For polyester the water absorption is low. so, for polyester fabric dyeing will be carry by using 130-140 degree temperature.

Remazol dyeing will be done in the temperature of 60 degree. As this is mainly done for cotton fabric and this dyeing is done to get a better finishing in discharge printing.
